Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Management (E - PGDM)
St. Joseph's College of Business Administration offers a 15 Months Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Management especially to cater to the needs of those executives with rich industry experience who are keen to widen their scope of knowledge as a supplement to their experience. The AICTE approved course is conducted between 6.15 pm and 8.45 pm, Monday to Friday to accommodate the working professionals.
The fifteen month program is broken down into 12 months of class room training and 3 months of industry internship. The class room training entails 9 modules with each module having 2 subjects each. The industry internship project’s topic, company and area are selected with tremendous care in order to develop the areas of interest of the student. This internship is for a period of ten to twelve weeks. The eight modules and the internship together form the entire course structure for the 15 month E-PGDM program. During the 12 month class room training, the students undergo rigorous training in the essentials of every discipline in management and further develop the common foundation of business knowledge and management theory. The ’on the job’ internship projects undertaken by students are evaluated and graded and is a mandatory requirement for completing the course successfully. The E-PGDM curriculum is the result of constant change and continuous review by the faculty with help from practitioners in industry, alumni and students. Students have to work on both individual assignments and group assignment during the fifteen-month period.
Teaching Methodology and Evaluation
The objective of the program is to supplement the knowledge and experience of the students to train them to be competent managers and inculcate in them qualities required for effective leadership of organizations. The institute follows a structure of teaching that enables easier understanding and long term retention of the subjects. The classes include lecture sessions, group projects, case studies, games, role plays, audio visual presentations and student workshops. The institute tries to build team spirit by encouraging students to form groups when they undertake large assignments and report building. However, each student is evaluated separately and is graded for their contribution to the assignment. Further, students undergo frequent tests and assignments as a part of their evaluation process. The students are not only evaluated for reproducing the content understood from the classes in tests but are also evaluated on the basis of how they utilise the knowledge in simulated management scenarios. The objective of the evaluation is to be transparent to the student on the methodology followed in their evaluation and to identify the areas of strengths and isolate their areas of weakness and work on improving them. The institute converts marks given to assignments, tests, presentations and coursework to Grade points and award students a Grade Point Average (GPA) for each subject. The cumulative GPA for a trimester is shared with the student as a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). This depicts the performance of the student across all subjects throughout the program.

Graduates in any discipline from a recognized University with not less than 50% Aggregate Marks and a minimum of two years of work experience are eligible to apply for the course.

Application form and Prospectus can be purchased from the office of the college. Students also have the option of downloading the application from the college website(www.sjcba.edu.in). Students who download the application form from the website will need to pay the application charges through a Demand Draft (DD) drawn in the name of St. Joseph's College of Business Administration payable at Bangalore. Students will need to fill in the application form with relevant information and send the duly filled application form and DD to the address given below.

Short listing and Admission
Applicants will be shortlisted based on the relevance of work experience and consistency in academic performance. Applications shortlisted for the interviews will be intimated through an E-mail communication from the college. The short listed candidates are selected based on an interview conducted by a panel of faculty members.
